psa is good to go, they also have a m4 build kit for $599.00 add one of their blemished lowers ( I have several of them and they all came with no noticeable "blemishes" ) and you have an ar for around $750.00 after shipping and transfer, and 15 minutes of work putting it together. my only warning is they take a while to ship sometimes up to 2 weeks, if you do order a lower from them make sure you get your ffl copy to them with your order # written on it asap, they will not move forward on your order at all until they get it in hand. below are pics of some of my psa builds.

and a psa upper on a mag fde lower with another psa lower and build kit I just got this week for my next one.

If it had the BCG and CH it would have been a good deal. For his asking price then add the BCG in you're over $800 CMV.

Do you just build a bunch of these and sell them or do people order them and you build to their spec?

I have no problem going with a blem lower either. The reviews look great on them that I've read. I'm just confused by all the different upper and LPK options my head is spinning. I know I want a mid-length upper with m4 feed ramps, chrome lined barrel, magnetic inspected barrel, but then I'm lost. Twist rate, chromed vs non-chromed bolt, mil-spec vs non-mil buffer tube, etc. I'm on a budget too.

I just build them as a hobby, some I keep some I sell, depends if I become attached or not. I only do carbine or rifle length, mid-lengths are to finicky for my liking, 1 in 7 is my preferred twist in a 16" barrel, chrome lined bolt is pretty much the standard on any of mine, anything chrome lined will last longer and be less susceptible to corrosion, buffer tubes don't matter to me either one is fine, just make sure you get stock in the same configuration as the tube.

What's your budget? Ultimately that will be the deciding factor. Figure that out them double that figure. The more you know about this platform the more you're going to want to spend. That's what happened in my case at least.

I thought mid-lengths were smoother with less recoil and rifle-length was even better.

The lower the better for the features I'm looking for. I'd like one for under $600 but I don't see that happening at this time. Oh, forgot to add dust cover and forward assist to my list.

That PSA kit that car-15 mentioned is a pretty good deal. You have a better chance of meeting your budget if you buy low round count used parts.
