First I've heard that shorts and Camelbaks help with aerobic efficiency. I'm just saying that the change from sea level can really hit some people hard, even people who are reasonably in shape. I used to see it occasionally with people coming in TDY from one of the coasts and it's not like they were lazy out-of-shape bastards like me.

I tried the incline once. Got a little more than halfway and then my poor knees just gave out... It's definitely a climb for this fat bodied fellow. On the flip side, my BIL who is a health nut runs up the whole thing like it's nothing... incredible. lol

OFFS. It isn't like he was doing a boots and utes or humping a ruck. Aerobic efficiency? How about just not having that much more weight on him. Does the Army not ruck anymore? If you run 1st class PFT you should be alright walking up a hill, even the Manitou incline.

I saw this on the local car forum this morning. They are trying to get people together to bring the big bench down tomorrow.

That pisses me off. To desecrate a memorial for a fallen brother really pisses me off.

Since ownership of the land changed, the city is claiming it's illegally placed. Even though the parks department has plans to put benches up there, they are still demanding it be removed. There's a group of people that are going to bring it down, clean it up and take to to Ft. Carson so the city doesn't chop it up and throw it away.
