When I see bullet holes in signs, it just lets me know that drunk teenagers with .22's are driving around at night.

I wasn't drunk and I'm 30!
How do you shoot a hole w/ a 22?![]()
Didn't specify what cartridge the bullet is in? 222/223/22-250/220,etc.
And no I don't vandalize.
the holes in the private road sign were made by some unknown individual driving "a beat-up full-size car" in the middle of the night... confirmed .45ACP by the shell casings found... someone was camping within 100yrds of where the sign was shot at the time..
no, I don't think it's a deterrent- but if they weren't already thinking this a place where they >could< be shot for trespassing, it confirms it for them..![]()
My little brother shot some street signs I had left over from high school with his Savage Mark II and the holes in the signs are large enough that you can put an unfired .45 round through it without touching the sides. It's pretty impressive.

I've always wanted to get one of those signs (the one that this thread started with), but I'm afraid that if that neighbor did get robbed (or worse), I'd be sued for some liability for it.

I tell my wife to empty the magazine if she ever has to shoot a home intruder. This way (officially) she doesn't have to worry about the perp getting back up and hurting her. What I don't say is that we won't have to worry about this person rolling into court in a wheelchair and seeking sympathy while he attempts to sue me to the poorhouse.
