I don't mind listening to spanish (or any foreign language) music as long as it is about supporting 2nd admendment.

Actually dude, I take offense at your comment and the request to have mine edited. I understand the forum and it's rules. Sportsman Warehouse is in the realm of the shooting sports and this thread is simply a relation to an experience I had. I found it odd, so I posted on it. Not that I should even have to justify the thread to begin with.

Ba-la-la-la LaBamba! Bai la la la LaBamba... Uhhh what was the question?
I don't see anything odd about playing any type of music in an environment where people are. IMHO, there is nothing wrong with multi-culturalism. Don't be afraid of what you don't understand. Some of the most beautiful Guitar work in the world can be found in Spanish music. More people get offended at me when I blast SlipKnot through my Subs than when they here Music from another part of the world.

Dude, I prefaced the thread by stating that I was born, raised and educated on the border for over 30 years. How would I "be afraid of what I don't understand?" I AM the one who understands. Does anyone else?

I have heard this in alot of places, and it struck me as odd too. I noticed it in the lobby of the Omni hotel in broomfield. Noticed it in GNC too... And it wasnt like it was just one song. they played a few songs in english, then in spanish, and back to english.

Because I saw it as odd can I be called a racist too?!?!

I think i know what you are trying to say. Are you saying that music isn't suitable for typical retailers plays on the air?
For an example, if i goto Italian restaurant, it is kinda odd to hear Spanish music. If i goto Japanese restaurant, it is odd to hear Chinese (Mandarin) music.

If i goto McDonald and hear classic (for example at the Flatiron McDonald), it is little odd. I am so use to hearing fast pace music at a fastfood restaurant. Not in a level it bothers me, but I say "wow, this McDonald is playing classical! hehe"

Well, it is storemanager's and corporate's decision to put that music. Also, it was your decision not to hear that music and leave. Nothing wrong with that.

I could care less what they play in the store. I don't like the store! Nothing in stock and the gun monkeys behind the counter are too high on themselves with their all knowing endless knowledge. YOU WORK FOR CORPORATE AMERICA DUCHE for a buck over minimum wage! They could play Arabic music for all I care. They get nada $ from me.

I'm tired of people who care about what others think is "racial" The poster didn't say.....well I'll refrain from that. He simply stated he thought it odd to play "Spanish" note that he didn't say Mexican music in a store known to draw....say redneck types. Bunch of south of the border polka music anyways. Lots of treble and very little bass! There now get on me for my opinion! Lets be tolerable to all! Sounds like lib talk to me. I'd rather hear....lets embrace the country we now live in because its better than the one I left!
