I'm not surprised by Gov Tax Ritters actions either. Given the current change in flow in public opinion towards firearms (based on national polls), this may have cost Ritter his re-election come the next go around.

My god who are the retards that voted this ass clown in. I know I am not one! Did you know thanks to this douche we now pay more then any other state to register our cars?
Well let me say this before you all get to pissed off maybe you should learn the law. I am not defending Ritter he is a POS but most of you don't seem to know any more than he does.
Under Federal Law the only way your CCW can exempt you from a background check is IF it is issued by the state. CO CCW's are issued by a county sheriff so therefore they do not meet federal regulations to exempt you from a background check.
Even if Ritter signed it, It would mean nothing.
"The people never give up their liberties but under some delusion." (Edmund Burke 1784)
Fair enough, but is that the stated reason Ritter gave to vetoing it? Or is he against it in principle - ie, even if the CCW was issued by the state, he would have vetoed it?
sure it is issued by your sheriff after the State does the check....then it is considered State Wide....
