I was there this morning, in the parking lot. There was what appeared to be a reporter with two cameramen, although there was no sign of a newstruck (just their pickup trucks.) I watched as cameraman # 1 (with tripod) filmed the guy talk a bit, then he and handheld camera guy #2 trotted into the store. They came back out within thirty seconds or so, then filmed a bit more in the lot and then piled into one pickup and circled the lot about six times. There were orange signs in the windows and on the doors of the store, but I didn't see what they said.

Julie Hayden from Fox31 was in FL today with her cameraman. We didn't pay her much attention and no interview was given. Just checked their website and her cameraman got me anyway, not my best side- assuming I have one anymore!

For over 6 months they've had no ammo except shotgun shells, and they finally decided that they just wouldn't put it on the shelves anymore when it comes in . . . they keep it behind the counter at customer service and one day a week you can stand outside for 2 hours before they open for a chance to buy a few boxes of low grade FMJ target ammo. Bass Pro Shop rarely has ammo either, but at least they still put it on the shelves and have a 2 box limit.
I guess I got lucky that Saturday I stopped by SW in Thornton after picking up some work from Bert. I picked up 6 boxes of GMM 168gr .308. I did have to bribe another customer $10 to buy three boxes for me, but there were 3-4 cases in a buggy at the time. I posted the intel here, hung out to sit on some for anyone replying to the thread, but had no takers so I left after an hour.

These will not be available in this state. There will be a little burp in supply as everyone adjusts and finds sufficient 10 round mags for various firearms. Manufacturers will not ship firearms without magazines just to comply with CO. No one in the supply chain will stop to open factory-sealed boxes and remove magazines just to ship to CO. We will simply be purchasing CA-compliant firearms whenever they are available. There is no other choice at this time.

I must say with all due respect the Denver Post, yes I know...is stating you guys are doing the same as Sportsmans. I only say this because I am curious if the FL is. I understand your post and get it but why couldn't you sell an AR after June 30th without a 30rd mag? At least your inventory?

Huh, sure seems a false reporting on the DP's part could turn away many customers, folks thinking they can't purchase certain firearms, someone needs to set them straight....

We can sell an AR without a mag. No problem. But we're trying to get 10 rounders so that we can put something in the magwell. We're having close-outs on hi-cap mags, not the guns. We also have a number of consignments that have hi-caps. It's up to the owner if they want to come and get their hi-caps back before the 1st, or get their gun back.

I hate the term "high cap mag." Didn't think I would live in a state that used it as a regular term. I am going to cry now.

Instead of crying turn those tears to anger and resolve to do your part to undo these and other garbage laws passed by the legislature and the mayor of Colorado. If the Morse and Giron recalls show us anything is that Democrats and independents signed these recalls in equal counts to the republicans. When I read that recently that ignited hope for 2014 and beyond. If I am wrong then I wont cry I will just move to where my perception of freedom is not taken for granted. Hang in there right now we are winning, the so called Democrats in power right now are not real democrats they are socialist and communist, and the real American s are starting to see that. Yeah we will always have gimmiethats and freeloaders but there safety nets are starting to erode. PREP for the future dont cry.
