After all, who would contact someone on armslist, to help them break the law?

The red flag for me is that he says he's flying there. Despite the fact that he'd have to run all that luggage through security, isn't is pretty quick and cheap to just drive there? That's like flying to Moab.

Actually the ATF has been approached by the guv and others regarding "assistance" with the new laws. There was ablurb in the DP about 6 weeks ago. I'll see if i can locate the "story"

There are folks who fly single engines all over the place on 1 & 2 day jaunts. If i was more tolerant of small confined spaces i'd take another local shooter up for lunch in scottsbluff.

Actually, you don't have to pass through any security when flying from Sidney, NE. In fact most flights in private airplanes require no security check at all. Some airports have security in place to access your airplane and/or hangar, but after that, it's just like driving a car.

People fly to Moab, too, btw.

Little airplanes are wonderful things when it comes to accessing smaller towns quickly.

I'm not advocating breaking the law, I'm just saying that what that guy is proposing, while probably illegal, is imminently within the realm of possibility.

I talked to a former ATF agent today. Seriously guys, they are too busy, especially since sequester dumped about 100 agents, not all of whom are back, to worry about state laws they have no desire, requirement, or funding to enforce. Same goes for the local Sheriffs.

The BATFE is too busy working gang related gun homicide traces to straw purchasers, and gun trafficking to give a flying fuck about some unenforceable state law. The shit I heard about investigations into some of the Denver area gun stores, the ties between gun, sex, and drug trafficking is amazing to say the least. Rich Wyatt and Gunsmoke had definitely been on their radar for years.

Jim: My plane is a single-seater, but we could solve your "confined spaces" problem and my lack of a spare seat by simply duct-taping you to the wing. I could probably sell tickets to a flyby! The asymmetric drag would probably mean we could only make turns in one direction, but we could probably get it done!

Good to know. I wish I had a small plane. Not for this reason, just because road trips would be much cooler/faster.

I have something we could tie you to. However there are no oceans or deep lakes in CO to make it worthwhile.

I hate these laws as much as everyone, there is one upside for me personally. I have buy/sell/trade ADD, usually between Glocks size/caliber. I'm also a low level government employee so I'm not rich, I must sell or trade for new purchases. Maybe now I'll actually hang on to a CCW piece for more than a few hundred rounds. With that said, EFF the new laws!!!

I'm not in support of the new laws (or any new/old/existing gun laws for that matter). But I'm really tired of the nonsense.

Yeah. We know. The new laws start tomorrow. Sell your gun or don't but I'm pretty sure we all know now that after today you'll need a background check for a private sale and you won't legally be allowed to buy a standard capacity magazine over 15 rounds.

    FFS. Enough of the fear-mongering.
I was hoping people would relax and stop over ANAL izing the whole deal. However after browsing GD and L&P it doesn't look like it will happen anytime soon.

"What if you have 1-15 round magazine and 2 - 20 round mags are you in violation of the law??"

"If i have a full mag and 1 in the chamber will that be considered illegal "

People are going to the extreme, over thinking the whole deal and keep beating a dead horse. THEN posting on line,,.......I'll go to wyo, neb, nm, to buy them. You don't send a note to the local cop shop telling them you're casing the check cashing place before robbing them.
Shut up, breathe, and wait for the july 10 hearing about the injunction.
