You need a few of these around your property. Lights go out. grab a few, bring them inside. My sister turned us on to them for indoor emergency useAll the "preparing for what if? and my unprepared, not too gun friendly sister, in ny shows us something new. We score them from Ace, HD & lowes when they are on sale.

Interesting use for those jim, my future in-laws have lots of them around their yard, both front and back.

We might have to pick up a few too just for that idea. Though i'm pretty sure my fiancee will think i'm crazy when the power goes out and i go outside to get those. Since I always have my flashlight on me, I am never without light and can easily get to the garage to grab the candles I made in mason jars. They are cheap to make and last a long time!

Upside is you never need batteries. Great for say the bathroom or kitchen. This way you have both hands free. Speaking of hands free, Here's another favorite of ours.
