We've been using the Magic Bullet ($50 at Target) for about a month for making the juices. It's basically a blender but whatever you put in is completely smooth when done. Juicers remove a lot of pulp (fiber) which IMO is a waste since it keeps your intestines nice and clean.

Also, most of our juices have about 50% leafy greens like spinach, kale, collard greens. These are surprisingly loaded with protein. Also sunflower seeds and some nuts make a great protein source and also add some important fatty acids.
