It doesn't matter what shoes you put them in. The orthotic replaces any arch insert the shoe has. They take a cast of your foot, then make a hard plastic insert for you shoe. After getting orthotics i buy cheap shoes, toss what passes for an arch insert out and use the prescribed unit.
