The thread title technically should say you were fisted by Hickenlooper (gah!!!)... and for that, Hickenlooper must live with the knowledge of where his hands have been... that dirty bastard! <Mixed emotions on this whole issue, mostly hatred for anyone in CO with a (D) after their name right now, especially Dickinpooper.

ACT-MAG is supposed to be coming out with 15 round M&P 9mm mags in Sept/Oct. I heard this from Greg Cote, a very reputable online vendor.

I was thinking about getting an M&P 9 but didn't because of the lack of magazines. I wasn't about to pay $80 per mag either.

I agree with you wholeheartedly about the $80 per mag cost. I know supply vs. demand right now sucks on those particular magazines...but holy hell. I seen some on Gunchoker listed for over $100 per magazine! That is just plain gouging. I know someone here asked me to list the business. I am withholding the name because I really don't want to "out" them. My department has a great relationship with them and if just one person called and gave them hell...they would know it was me. I will definitely be keeping my eye out for the ACT-MAG magazines. I have had several of my friends offer up some great advice and yes, I will be getting magazines for this pistol. I really like Jim's idea of going with .40 cal M&P magazines with slight modification.

Ronin is right, we all got fisted by Dickenpooper on July 1st. Perhaps if the Sheriff's cannot get this bill overturned, we can get it on the ballot and vote it off.

I have started this reply over three times.. I am pretty on top of the law but I think I threw in assumptions inavertently.. are you saying that you could have aquired the mags if you were law enforcement and not need an agency contract..

In other words, can LE purchase mags for personal use?

That's the kind of arrogance that pisses me off. All the guys I work with/for have all said it's a BS law and they aren't in support of it.

Since there were a few questions about the m&p 9 and 15round mags,I did note that Green Mountain is stocking new pistols with these mags for 499.99. Individual mags are on order. I guess Smith and Wesson calls these the New Jersey compliant models. Who would have Colorado would be like New Jersey? At least Lickmypooper and Crispy Creame Christie are not walking through Lodo hand in hand yet.
