Okay. Sorry to be vague. I was specifically talking about tracking these pieces of shit down and eradicating them. With FS permission and help, of course. Or not. I am not advocating breaking the law. However, I for one am tired of these "folks". I am also tired of all the bitching and no action. This is OUR Country. And we deserve to lose it if we won't fight for it. Just like anything else in life.
I was born and raised in the mountains. I will die in the mountains. And I'll be damned if some drug cartell fuqs are gonna touch them or that.
Our government, be it good or bad, right or wrong decisions, has enough to deal with without this kind of shit. This is our backyard, people. I for one am not going to let "them" do this in my backyard. Period.
Sponsers, intel and soldiers welcome. If I have to go by myself, I will.

What if you don't have any money, gear, or experience?

Being a transplant from a North east state, and having been on a marijuana eradication team for 2+ years.
Things that come to mind are booby traps,,they can and do use them.

Best if you do recon and report grow areas to local LEO.

just a FYI,,the real danger is meth,,beware of stray garbage,,1 gallon jugs ect ect

    Stu-you can run point
Snafu-thanks. Former SD myself, did several grow busts. From my experience, they are usually just alarm systems (like the old fish line with pop cans trick), but maybe they have gotten more sophisticated. At any rate, this will be, if at all possible in coop with LE anyhows.
edit-I live in Greeley. Am well aware of the meth end of things, lol. Apparently, they have now found a LEGAL way to make meth. Well, rather with legal materials. Crazy, crazy world.

I don't know what a point man is. Is this a paying position? I could really use a couple hundred extra dollars to pay down some debt right now.

Um, point man is the one out front. The first one the BG's see. The first one to get shot at. I doubt you'd want that job. I'd rather lay back and observe, and call in the airstrikes.

I heard about this a few days ago. The new process makes it quicker and easier to make the stuff without all of the cooking that used to be required. Apparently, it doesn't require all of the cold medicine that the old system needed. Does this mean that I won't have to sign for the REAL cold meds at the pharmacy counter anymore? The report I saw showed that if the meth makers - using the new system - shake the stuff too fast, or too slow it can BLOW UP on them and cause some serious burns.

I still don't get the whole meth thing. I don't know anyone that would grab a jug of Draino and just chuck it down, but all of the chemical crap that goes into meth has the same basic effect.

Now THIS is why I was enlisted USAF. We sent our Officers off to fight the war while we stayed back away from the BG's in "support" functions.

So I wouldn't be the guy who writes down
    Mexicans - 1
    Concerned Citizens - 0

every time we run into a booby trap?

    I'll have to rethink this...
