    Default What to do?

So, I have a factory Bushmaster rifle with a 16" heavy barrel. I'm not a fan of the weight of the heavy barrel or the way it makes the rifle balance. So, here are my options but I can't decide which way is the best way to go. Thought maybe I could get your opinions.

Option #1 - pull the barrel and install a different one and sell the old barrel to recover some of my cost.

Option #2 - pull the barrel, install a different one, and save the old barrel to return it to stock in the future if I feel so inclined.

Option #3 - have the original barrel turned down by Bert. (Which keeps it all original but would probably remove all of the original barrel markings.)

I know this isn't some sort of collector piece, but it is the only factory built AR I own right now and I am a bit hesitant start modifying it.

    Thoughts? Ideas? Opinions?

    Thanks.

If you're happy with the upper otherwise, I'd get a replacement barrel and sell your original to recoup some cost.

Option 5: Get a stamp, cut it down to 11.5, and mount a suppressor...
Light a fire for a man, and he'll be warm for a day, light a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life...

ignorance. Ever found a liberal that you can have a discussion with?

Seems like overkill to me. The barrel weight is the only part that bothers me.

    Thanks.

Kind of leaning that way right now.

I live in Adams county and I don't have a trust set up.

    Sounds like fun though.
