See a Dr., so he can give the "Turn your head and cough" exam. Don't write off a hernia so quickly, especially at your age.............

Do you have a lump just below your underwear line(if your NOT wearing a Cheeto encrusted thong) left of center about 3-4 inches?
If so, say hello to an ignuial hernia.
IIRC appendicitis is accompanied with a fever.
Ignuial hernias hurt, but generally aren't too big of a problem unless it becomes a strangulated hernia.

It could be an ovarian cyst as well Ray, they crop up from time to time in menopause.

Also just because you aren't crippled by pain, doesn't mean you aren't just a badass that feels it only as a scratch.

I've passed two kidney stones with no medication. I don't think it makes me a tough guy, I just don't like to be all drugged up so I deal with it.

This pain is similar to a kidney stone but isn't in the right spot.

    No odd lumps.

No fever either. Pretty sure my appendix is OK.

Just wanted to make sure I wasn't heading for the ER tonight.

    Thanks.

Appendix is RLQ (right lower quadrant). Pain will come from about 2" below the belly button, and 1" to the right. It will be accompanied by fever, nausea, and chills almost always. On top of that, you will KNOW if you've got appendicitis. It'll be unbearable pain. Call 911 if you ever feel that.

If it's occurring during specific movements, it's a musculo-skeletal issue (hernia, strained abdominal, etc.). If the pain comes on whilst you're sitting still or at random intervals, it could be an assortment of other gastro problems that obviously aren't appendix-related.

    lmao.

Ray, I think we can rule out appendix....neither of my hernias filled up my nut sack with intestine, or whatever it is that does that. You just might have a hernia, my friend. Yeah, get to a doc tomorrow, and get checked out.
