I ordered my predator through Pete aka legal transfers was a little less than that. Then of course Carl aka Bailey Guns did the transfer. I thought the 24" would be unneeded weight.

I built a Stag Varmint rifle recently and couldn't be happier. I got my complete upper from Pete and got the rest locally.
Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to Fight, he'll just kill you.

I have the Rem R15 version. It's one of my favorite guns to shot.

Every bushmaster I've shot have preformed great (also my reserve units issued M16a2 is marked bushmaster o.0). The only different between the 2 rifles is just the barrel. For $15 bucks more you get a heavier barrel that 4 inches longer. Just choose the one that you think will suit your needs the best. Are you buying the rifle for Target shooting? Competition action shooting? Want to shoot it Off-hand or benched?

Either way you can't go wrong.
