The people answering green, would you still take that chance if it were phrased a little different? Would you give up $1,000,000 for a 50% chance to get $100,000,000?
You technically have the $1,000,000 already since its a sure thing.

This makes it a completely different question. If you already have $1MM, then you know either;
1. How hard it is to make $1MM, in which case you press red to keep your money
or
2. How easy it is to make $1MM, in which case you press green knowing that you can make your big gamble back easily.
This is a question of perspective, not a question of risk aversion.
I would push the red button. For most of us who didn't grow up wealthy, it is really really hard to make that much money in one lump sum.
