I came in here again because I think I came off as a jerk. Sorry if I did, I don't mean to. I'm certainly having a bad day, but it isn't your fault.![]()

5K for a little piece of metal?!?!? I think I'll pass... for now. I think I just need to concentrate on getting an AR15 and tons of ammo... After that, I'll start thinking about other things.
Don't worry about sounding like a jerk Sturtle, cause it did not come off that way to me. Just remember, "there are no stupid questions, just a LOT of inquisitive idiots!" HA. Sometimes I do ask stupid questions, or I'm in a hurry but something pops in my head and I don't want to do the research so I pop on for a quick anwer, etc.
On a sidenote. Anyone know where there is a longer than 200 yard range in the Springs area? ... and, is it standard practice to shoot at a regular (8.5x11) piece of paper at long range? I can still place all shots on the target (6x6 on regular paper) at 200 yards, but it's not a tight group (at least 2 inch variances)... Some can be attributed to ammo (cheap bear stuff) but mostly it's just cause I suck. I would really like to try some longer range stuff. I only have a .308 though so I think I'm looking for something between 600-800 yrds.
All class III questions sound silly, because there is so little correct info out there, that people don't have a good grasp on what is legal or not, so they don't know if what they are asking is ridiculous or not. You can do exactly what you asked, and do it legally. For $5,000 you can get a full auto Mac, and probably even put a suppressor on it as well.
Sorry, I don't know the answers to your other questions though. Probably Ben Lomand Gun Club, I think it is south, but don't remember off the top of my head.

Getting membership to Pueblo West's range requires that you get your name on a waiting list, and then they purge the rolls of all the members that didn't renew once a year, and at that point they start calling everyone on the waiting list.
I am still waiting... which sucks! There is a pistol range down at the Pueblo Zoo that has public nights Tuesday and Thursday, if memory serves. Pueblo Municipal Shooters is the name of that.
When I hear "private" range, I recall the days of living in Texas where a "private" range was a rundown plot of land where "good 'ol boys" would go shoot, network, and even drink and by god if you didn't spend $40 there on top of the entrance fee an hour you'd be run out. Not interested in that, lol. I was not trying to be sarcastic or rude when I said no thanks, my apologies if that is how it came off. I am a member of NRA, everyone should be regardless of whether you own firearms or not. Someone pm'
ed me some info about some public land that sounds like it should work in my neck of the woods. Thanks for the off topic help.
www.blgc.org Easily accessable from C. Springs, but a bit of a drive. Great place.
Silly post.
Anyway, you might be able to pickup a register full-auto lower and just build the rest around it. I think you might be able to find the lower in the 12k range, but it's been a while since I've looked into prices.
