CCW and Columbine Survivors?

A little over a year ago, my wife and I ate dinner at LODOs at 20^th & Market. One the private rooms had a sign “Welcome Columbine High School Class of 2002”. Those folks would have been freshman during the 1999 event. I commented to my wife wondering if the rate of CCW permit possession of the Columbine survivors was higher or lower than the normal average for late 20 somethings. My guess was regardless of legality or alcohol concerns- there were quite a few armed persons in that room. I know that if I was a survivor of such a horrible vent, permanently impressed onto my mind at age 15, that there would be VERY, VERY few places I would go unarmed.

Does anybody know any Columbine survivors, and what their attitudes are on CCW and/or gun control in general?

I know one... he doesn't get involved in the gun debate, and he was injured that day. I guess you could say he's Switzerland on the issue.

I know one but he was at home during the shootings, he carries and is pro 2A.

I know one who was shot and survived and she is indifferent towards guns, seeing both sides of the debate for and against. So another Switzerland.

My mom worked at Columbine from the day it opened until 3 years before dipshits did their thing. Dave Saunders was a very good friend of hers. She is pretty well grounded on the subject, recognizes it is not the fault of an object.
A buddy of mine has a cousin who was in the library that day. Met him at a BBQ about 4 years after. He seemed pretty indifferent on the subject.

I cannot recall the name at the moment, but one of the survivors is very pro 2A and I believe spoke during the (limited) public debate during the Colifornorado kangaroo court that handed down these ridiculous and unconstitutional laws.

I know one that was more than likely in attendence on the night you mentioned, and yes he does carry

Eric and I don't remember his last name, was shot at Columbine. He is a HUGE 2A advocate and spoke at the Denver Day of Resistance earlier this year.

However, I disagree with your assessment, OP. People who aren't raised around firearms tend to RUN, not walk, the other way when they have a negative experience with them, in my experience. I'd have to imagine that 15 year old kids from an affluent neighborhood who got shot are unlikely to grow up wanting to carry around a sidearm of their own. But I could certainly be wrong.
