Default Mount for a burris MTAC 1-4

I just got a MTAC 1-4 and im looking for a mount for it. I was looking at LaRue SPR or an AD Recon. Im having a hard time deciding between the extended (3") or normal (2") version.

I do not currently shoot NTCH.

Im kinda of leaning towards the extended mount. Any recommendations?

I guess let me ask this a different way. For those running the Burris MTAC 1-4x, what mount are you using?

I picked up this and I really like it. It fits well on my AR-15 A3 flat top.

The price was right (I was looking for entry level).

When I was researching what scope and mount to get, everyone said to get the LaRue SPR quick disconnect. This was the second mount recommended. Since I wasn't sure whether I was going to keep this setup or not, I went a little less expensive so I can shoot 3 gun NOW and upgrade later (if I need/want to).

I can PM you a picture if you'd like.

ETA: I should mention I didn't get the MTAC. I just got the TAC scope, so I don't have the quick aim reflex sight on top, I just have the 1-4x optic.

The PEPR is heavy! Most of my MTACs are in JP mounts, the others in the WARNE SKEL mount. Lighter and very strong. RTZ is perfect on both, in fact better than the one LaRue I had that always seemed to be off by 1 MOA or so. Unless you NEED QD, no reason to get it. Simple to R&R both the JP and the WARNE.

Are you using the JP JPFTSM-30/1E mount?

Not extended: JPFTSM-30/1 Even NTCH, you can go without the extended on a 3Gun rifle with an MTAC/Tac30. BTW, both have the option of the FF on top, the difference is primarily in the power ring and the way the illumination switching works. I have used both, and just shooting, no difference. The MTAC, for 3Gun will be more durable because of the power ring versus moving the whole ocular.

P.E.P.R, mounted in the farthest forward position on the receiver.

LT104 I bought it for 1" for my Nikon, but bought the 30mm spacers separate so I have options.
