I think I've seen more great movies than ones I've missed. Do we need to start a top ten thread so I can make my "To Watch" list a little longer? Also, it sounds like Red Dawn might be near as old, if not older than I am.

Here is what I have in que right now:

    Red Dawn
    Year One
    Big Trouble Little China
    Collateral
    ConAir
    Spirited Away
    Public Enemies
    Zombieland
Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder

Big Trouble In Little China? Wasn't bad when it came out (prolly bc I was 5yo) but other then Kim Cattrall I see no reason to watch it again.

I've seen it labeled as a "classic" a few times, so I picked it up.

My new thing is that I've decided to make a list of every book that I can ever remember reading. I put it in a Google Doc and so far I'm up to 124 or something, just from memory (and help from Wikipedia and Google). It helps to just look up an author, then look through their works to see which ones I've read. I've always known I've read a lot of Stephen King (17) and Dean Koontz(26) but was never sure exactly how many I've actually read. It is a fun and interesting thing to do. Brings back both memories of the books, and what you were doing when you read them (if you can remember).

THe only remake I can think of that is better than the original is Gone in 60 Seconds. The original, i own on DVD, and although there are lots of cool crashes, there isn't much of a plot.

You guys see some crappy movies. In relation to guy movies for this site:

    Way of the Gun
    Terminator
    The Wild Bunch
    Scarface
    Saving Private Ryan
    Robocop
    Braveheart
    Pork Chop Hill
    God Father

I'd take "Taken" or a Bourne movie over anything on your list above.

The gayest I'll go is Starship Troopers.

"Patriot" was OK, but it seemed for a while like Mel was just looking for movies to kill English people.

Tsk, tsk. Much to learn these young ones

    3. Alien
    4. Heartbreak Ridge
    5. Shawshank Redemption
    6. Green Mile
    7. Full Metal Jacket
    8. Police Academy

Oh yeah, I still haven't seen Way of the Gun either.
Otherwise, I've seen most of both of those lists.

I wouldn't bother with year one. one of the worst movies jack black has made IMO. I thought it was horrible.

I haven't heard a lot of good things about it, but it's not like it cost me a lot* of money to check it out. I'm not expecting much. Those are just the movies I have immediately in que though.

I was really disappointed in Land of the Lost with Will Ferrell. I think i laughed about twice the entire movie.
