Watched it last night-pretty intense I thought. Probably because it's a true story.

Was a good flick, started a little slow IMO but they did a good job on the movie. I have not read the book.

Good movie and not as much Hollywoodization of what happened. They could have spent more time on the rest of the team, especially as Lt. Murphy was awarded the CMOH for his actions that day. A few misrepresentations of what happened in the movie but fairly accurate. Really shows again how the larger military messes up things for SOF units, especially when dictating the use of previously allocated rotary wing assets. Overall, the movie is worth seeing again.

    Watched it.
    Liked it.

Question (for those forum members that have "been there"): Have tranquilizers ever been (or can they be upon request) part of the deployment gear for a mission like this ?
(I don't want to give away anything...but for those that have seen the movie, it seems like tranquilizers could have been useful.)

Sigh. Traqualizers like your screen name uses? How much would you use for a 120 lb man? How about a 200lb man?

If the other option is killing them anyway, then who cares?

It's a pretty good movie, worth going to the theater for. I didn't read the book but my buddy did and he said if the book's a 10, the movie's a 6. Just for reference.

Tie em to a tree and send a drone to drop off a note and a map or make an anonymous phone call to a cell in the village after the guys are sufficiently far away.
