Default Children's Hospital Colorado - Aurora

Is Children's Hospital in Aurora go/no-go for ccw?

I can not find any definitive info on line. The majority of the campus is owned by CU, so its good to go. But, CHC is private entity on the campus, not part of CU.

    Anyone info is appreciated.

I only went into the main hospital in the past. Generally with a hospital, as long as you aren't entering via the ER, then are okay.

Try it out and see. Most hospitals I've been to in the metro area, only have metal detectors in the ER areas, and since I'm rarely actively seeking out denial of self defense (signs), I rarely have an issue carrying most everywhere.

I was at children's and was carrying. Metal detectors are usually at the ER entrance.

Why do they have metal detectors at the ER?

Emotions running high in an ER. Don't want thugs running up on the hospital getting revenge on the family of the person who hurt their boy if they also ended up in the hospital. Think of that scene in Breaking Bad when the twins were in the hospital.

You would be surprised the things that go on in the ER. My dad is a security guard for a hospital and he has some stories. I sure as heck would not want to be an unarmed Security guard in an ER. Ohh they don't have enough bullet-resistant vests for all the guards so they only store them for when some type of event goes on.
