    What? Did you get a callsign? Bob doesn't own the repeater, the Club owns it. There are a couple Bob's in the club, so I can't call them out on this. Callsign would be great if you have it.

    Be sure and use the echolink test server before going live.

    I misspoke, Bob who is the Membership officer. KC0CZ I e-mailled him and told him I was sorry for not testing before connecting. I found the test server after the ordeal. I thought it was working because I could hear the echo of what I was saying in my headset... Ahh well. He did reply to me with a couple echolink learner net times that I can listen in on. I'll do that I guess.

    I wouldn't worry about it. I could tell his agitation, I just didn't agree with him saying "KD0___, on ###### _____ street in Aurora, you know it isn't proper to connect and not say anything."

    His reply to my e-mail was pleasant so I think we are cool now. I'll chalk it up to a learning experience. I don't know anyone in the hobby... so everything I have learned I have done on my own... I am bound to make mistakes it is "Amateur Radio Service" after all. I'm over it.
