If my carry piece wasn't already at 4'o'clock and I didn't have a tucked in shirt all the time, I'd probably pretty easily be able to carry a better EDC knife.

Yes, exactly! It's the right size and weight for me to EDC. My Emerson CQC-7 is too big and heavy to carry in the jeans pocket. The only thing I didn't like is the lanyard hole, too small and too close to the blade, almost useless.Like this one?
I rotate between a Zero Tolerance 350 and a Benchmade Mini Rukus.
Curious about the comment about a CQC-7 being too bulky for EDC; it is on my shortlist along with a BM Rift.

Depends on how you carry it - on the belt it's OK, but in the pocket I find it a bit bulky.
I go between a spyderco manix, and spyderco native.
