So, when the press gets here, I'll load up some rounds on new brass and see how it all measures out.

ive had the best luck with sizing up .243 brass, but I have so much .308 brass that I can't not use it.

I need a good supplier of .243 brass....

I hope you can find some.

I also thought you were running .260 for some stuff.

Yeah I run .260 in my LMT MWS. By sizing up brass (6mm/.243 up to 6.5mm) it reduces the amount of cold work on the brass, which prevents a bit of hardness. The plentiful brass (LC12LR) is 7.62mm/.308, so the neck can get a bit thick. I've tried neck turning, and it only reduced the ES by about 10fps.

I think the greatest variation from bullet to bullet starts with consistent loading. That can't happen when I'm constantly taking the dies off and on my single stage. The turret press is probably going to be the real ticket to starting to get the load consistent. That and having consistent brass.

Im also thinking that my loads are running too hot, so I'll try and give it a bit of a break by reducing the load a bit. Groups at 100 aren't that bad, but they could be better. Mix the 100 yd zero thing with a (unacceptable) SD and ES in the ammo, and its a recipe for frustration at the match in a couple weeks.
