Tpms is a pain in the ass. Thank you federal mandate.

Best way to get in to see me at the shop is to call or email Shannon and make an appointment.

I didn't realize the tpms was a federally mandates thing.

You'd think mandating drl's would make more sense.

    Never mind. I understand now.

The DRL's are just a safety thing.

The TPMS has more to do with vehicle emissions.

    My bad.

Actually, I think that means that someone in either CA/NY/FL has done it with the intention of suing the manufacturer for a fat sum of money. Thank your local attorney for such warnings, if they didn't take frivolous lawsuits forward, we wouldn't have half the absurd warning labels that we now do.

Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) have nothing to do with emissions. It is a safety thing mandated after Ford underinflated Firestone tires that kept blowing. I have it on my Z and swap tires for the weather. The wheels for the snow tires don't have the TPMS and the light is on constantly. I do like it on the summer rims since those tires have short sidewalls and don't budge when low or flat.

We need a new law that says if you use a product in a way that it doesn't say how to on the label, the manufacturer is not liable for any injury or death from mis-use. We need to stop trying to keep stupid people from doing stupid things and hurting themselves. Darwinism exists for a reason, we should not stand in the way.

Thought they had something to do with our friends at Ford and Firestone but never confirmed that.

That was me. 5mi further down the hwy, that 0.5" diameter screw embedded in my tire told the truth!

My wife now knows what the tire pressure warning light looks like. She just doesn't know how far she drove with the light on. Based on the tire, I'd say she drove on it a while. Hence the new tires.

As a Motorcycle rider I do not like cars having DRL's...

it negates all the added safety of them when everyone has them.
