Thank you to you airline pilots for chiming in. At this point I'm still blaming Iran. Or aliens. Same thing.

Most guys and gals ( that are worth anything ) who fly for a living will never publicly Monday-morning quarterback an incident until there is a linear line of facts. We will beat it to death in the cockpit or at a bar amongst ourselves but not typically in public. The reason being most people don't understand all of the factors ( system based or not ) involved. Just about everyone you see on CNN, FOX or whatever is an idiot looking for a paycheck and notoriety. So the Captain had a sim in his house? Imagine the media speculation involved with a gun owner after a tragic occurrence if they looked into the persons safe.

Or if they found the gun owner had a shooting range in his basement... The underlined is about the most telling and factual statement of the year! I never believe anyone on the MSM anymore, especially when it comes to so-called "Experts." I bet the "experts" in aviation piss you off about as much as the "experts" in military piss me off. I can't even watch it without getting upset.....and that makes my wife upset...so I just get up and leave the room or tune it out when she is watching the five o'clock "entertainment" ( of course Corey Rose with the volume down isn't that bad ). The parrallel you draw with the military is probably spot on.

The "cockpit fire" theory seems to be unsupported by the data, given that the plane made multiple direction changes, hours after the loss of communications.
