.45 ACP is my favorite handgun caliber for sure....

Not sure if I'd want in in a rifle though! haha.

My next rifle is definitely going to be something .308.... leaning towards an m14 but still considering some sort of AR-10 configuration...

I figured that a 7 to 10 shot .45 ACP carbine would be a hoot. Especially since I had an otherwise useless receiver sitting around. When I'm done, it'll just look like a very short Mauser carbine, except for the 1911 mag and adapter underneath.

I went the M14 route, and I'm really happy with it. Of course, I have found myself lusting after a LWRC REPR lately.

Oh, and that was a cool special on Sharpshooters. They've done two or three, plus some on snipers, and they never fail to do a good job. My kids will stop whatever else they're doing and plop down with me to watch them.

I thought about that, but if I was going to do something like that I'd probably put it on my .300 Fireball AR.
