Straps or no straps?

I'm of course referring to the shoulder straps on the voodoo cases.

There is a deluxe padded model that has no straps. (Go ahead sickos). It's the same price as the one with backpack straps. But it looks like it has some really cool mag holders too..

Mine are both the one in your first link with straps. I've never used the shoulder straps, but I tried them out once and it felt a bit awkward to carry any real amount of weight that way. 2 ARs with 8 mags and other shooting accessories is quite heavy and I don't know if there really is a good way to carry it, but it definitely doesn't feel like a backpack.
