So today on my way home from work I'm cruising South down Santa Fe, as I'm crossing over Hampden BOOM!!!!! The loudest bang I've ever heard in a car. The wheel is shaking hard and I immediately pull over, obviously blew a tire. I'm in a bad spot so I creep forward so I can turn off onto a frontage road. I've never blown a tire while driving, I get out to survey the damage and both left side tires are blown. I didn't see anything in the road, must have hit a chunk of metal or something. Left rear has about a quarter sized hole in the sidewall, front showed no visible damage to the sidewall or anywhere else from what I could see. I will be curious once the shop gets them off to see what damage was done. One flat tire is doable, two flats = no bueno, so I call for a tow. Driver shows up about 40 minutes later. After several unsuccessful attempts to get the dolly wheels under my two front tires he calls his supervisor to come help. The guy was new at what he was doing and was trying hard so I wasn't even irritated with him, he was doing his best. All said and done about a three hours process to get home. Good times...
