I remember a layover in Sicily years ago, off base in a surprisingly nice hotel. I sat down and turned on the TV. It was a German channel, and there was content that you only see on Skinimax or pay per view here. Great for me, but I wouldn't want my kids seeing it.

I know that this would never fly with the majority of viewers, but you know what a good half time show would be? An amateur boxing match. I've seen my fair share of Super Bowl shows, and I would rather spend the time in the bathroom or watching an infomercial than spend my time watching the trash that the network thinks will be entertaining.

How 'bout cage fighting? We can throw in an Ultra-liberal Democrat and a Super-conservative Republican, and watch the fur fly!

I almost typed MMA, but there is too much grappling for the average super bowl viewer to appreciate or understand.

Now that's a show I'd love to watch - EXCEPT... it seems that the only folks the Right Wing can ever seem to muster are old over-the-hill types (okay, Palin was an exception, but I wouldn't want to put her in the ring with a guy).

I had several immediate thoughts of where to go with this, however I managed to decide that discretion was the better part of valor.....

I don't know why you guys didn't enjoy that half time show, I thought it was pretty good. Of course all half times are not going to be that great given the time they have to preform. I'm not old enough to remember The Who back in their hay day, but I have went back and listened to some of their old music on youtube. And they actually, I thought, sounded better! You could understand kinda what they were saying, and they seemed to still enjoy playing...and I have to give anyone kuddos for being that old and still enjoy performing!

And I thought the lighting, lasers, and pyrotechnics were done really well. All in all I thought it was the best half time show I've seen!

Ryan, if you liked that presentation, you would have LOVED them in their prime!

I would have liked to see this during the halftime show.
