Food stamps for guns?

Interesting situation. The rep is a Democrat, and a very liberal, anti-gun one at that. But the his idea is that poor people have the right to self defense also, and since firearms is legal, they should be allowed.

If it's so important and the government is in such a giving mood with our tax dollars, instead of cutting into the government cheese budget, how about providing government guns to the needy?

It should never be a means for those receiving it to make a comfortable living.
