    Default GP1975 Donkey Dong

Anyone have any experience/knowledge with these? I only picked it up because it had a slick side receiver for left side charging. Clean front rivets, straight sights, good mag fit and parkerized finish. Plus the ever so classy donkey dong grip. Attachment 44915Attachment 44917Attachment 44919

    Rommy non G.
Basically from what I remember they were pre WASR and pretty decent.
The left sided charging handle was an aftermarket deal and work fairly well.
Straight sights and decent rivets, couldn't have been a Century rework.

Nice looking shooter, shouldn't have any issues with it.
Now go grab some ammo and have fun!!!

Ran half a spam can through it today. Pretty impressive little gun, nice 4 inch 30 round groups from the prone at 50 yards. All it needs is a muzzle device.

I'm no AK authority by any means, but it's my understanding the slant brake is pretty effective.

I run one of these on a 10.5" AK. recoil is minimal, decibel rating is a little LOUDER than normal.

Agreed the slant brake is good to some extent especially if you are a rightey. I just want to try something new. Had good luck with the SLR Rifleworks brake, sweet for the $ and short OAL. Itching to try the spikes 14x1 dynacomp after liking the 24mm version on my buddies SGL31

Gp1975's come from century they are romy kits built on Nodak receivers. If I remember correctly they have American barrels not sure if they're chrome lined or not. I know some had ejection issues not sure if it was a bad run of receivers or what but if it works fine then it probably isn't an issue with yours. All the gp1975's ice seen seem to be built well especially for a century (even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while) but they might possibly be farming those builds out like the yugo's they "build" looks like a nice rifle I like the wood on it. I personally don't understand the appeal of the left side charging handle but I like combloc side rails and not having a charge handle dig into me when a rifle is slung

edit: hey bob they're not pre wasr they're post assault weapons ban in fact jgsales still sells them

You can turn the f/hider to the left side, for other than right handed shooters.
