Default ZEV Tech Fulcrum Ultimate Kit on a Glock20

So I have a glock 20 (10mm) and I decided to buy and install a fulcrum ultimate kit in. The install was easy as cake, 10 minutes tops. And now the trigger is smooth and about 3.5lb trigger pull. There are some issues with it though. Sometimes, when you take the slide off, it doesn't want to go back on. Won't rack all the way back and lock in place. If I fudge with the safety plunger and firing pin a little, the slide will slide back on and function like normal. Then the second issue I noticed right away is if I depress the trigger and pull the slide back a couple of inches to reset, I notice that the slide wont go into full battery until let a little slack on the trigger. Now if I pull the slide all the way back and allow it to slam forward then it has no problem going into full battery. Other then these two issues, I really like the trigger but I carry this gun with me on hunting trips and it's my go to gun if ever I need to shoot more then 3 rounds from my rifle. I spoke with a ZEV Tech Rep about the part that's not going into full battery and he said this was normal. Confused???? I'm a little worried it might fail in the field, costing my life. Tell me what you guys would do? Would you attempt to keep it or ask for a full refund? I have not shot the gun with this trigger kit in place yet.

I carry a Glock daily and anything other than perfect operation is bad juju. Sounds like time to visit your friendly neighborhood gun smith (aka Bert at BP Tactical).

Umm. Put the stock parts back in it.

Stuff like that is perfectly acceptable on a competition gun but if it's a gun you are counting on to save your life leave it alone.

    This ^^^

Is there a reason you needed to swap out triggers? Was the factory unit that bad?

If you need to depend on more than 3 rounds, why have the aftermarket parts not been returned to the mfg ? A little time doing some light polishing produces a nice trigger.

The factory isn't the best trigger but not bad. I just wanted a more crisp trigger with less travel/reset.

"Best" is relative and subjective. 100% reliable is a requisite.

Well i called them today. I guess they are aware of these issues with the 10mm. They just gave me an return authorization immediately after talking to one of their techs.

I put one in my G20 about a year a go and it works fine. That is to bad to hear your is not working correctly. I'm a big fan of Zev's products.
