    Wait, how could this happen?!! Canada is really strict about their gun laws! I can't comprehend how this could happen in such a place!
    I don't make the rules. I just think them up and write them down.

    They must have been smuggled in from the US.

    Not really, you can get Norinco M14's for something like $600CDN up there. The laws are odd, AR's and AK's are verboten but the M14 is in the same class as bolt action rifles.

    The M14 just isn't a very deadly weapon. I mean how can it be? It isn't black. It doesn't have a protruding pistol grip to offer "operator-level" control over the weapon. And it doesn't hold 30 rounds of ammunition in a "banana clip." Therefor, the M14/M1A is a perfectly friendly, safe rifle and there is no way anyone could be in danger with one of those around.

    -wood stock....makes 'em safer.
