    Default More leave the boat.

Another senator will not seek election.
Poor Obama, his ranks can't commit mutiny so they just jump.

Sweet. Best decision he's ever made.

They're Democrats....they're sheep who follow each other, hopefully off the proverbial cliff.

Default This is one Dem we needed to stay (can't believe I'm saying that)

Good to have you pick-up (post) this topic / announcement from Bayh, Mtn.Man, as this one (another decision to depart) actually has more significance in my view versus the many recent announcements from those on the Left choosing to bail on the Socialist party. Bayh’s exodus actually matters.

All disdain and joking aside this current Administration is truly starting to show a severe break-down across-the-board. The reality of having to perform versus simply riding a “Hope and Change” slogan to success is becoming very apparent to many on the Left; Bayh is just another proving this party has no idea how to run this country while at the same time, functioning as a global steward. Success is in the details and with execution and this Administration is fast becoming a world-class joke in that regard, literally. Of course, not all blame falls on the Socialist’s here, not even close, the Right continues to be rudderless and I admit, obstinate in every respect. My point, the status quo in Washington persists but the traditional grid-lock is now compounded by an Administration that is floundering…badly [insert “any of many” examples here], and even the savvy stalwarts we used to be able to count on to bring some level of balance are fleeing the asylum we call “this Administration.”

I can only hope that both the Left and the Right are listening when Bayh says (quote); "For some time, I've had a growing conviction that Congress is not operating as it should. There is much too much partisanship and not enough progress. ... Even at a time of enormous national challenge, the people's business is not getting done."

But I’m a realist, they won’t “hear” the message, we [Americans collectively] will marshal on and do little to nothing to hold them accountable and we will live with the legacy of this shitty Administration for decades to come. The low-enders will remain happy though, that's all that matters to these Socialists as they'll continue to get the votes on the backs of the rest of us.

"See ya' Bayh...too bad...you are one of the Lefties who didn't drink all the blue shit they pushed your way!"

    Signed,

    Archie Bunker

People leaving also just opens up room for even worse people. Just something to keep in mind.

I'm convinced the pressure from the OBH administration is a driving force in the decision of many of these people to quit. Bayh's announcement is quite significant since he was on the short-list of VP nominees for Obama.

The pressure of falling in lockstep with an administration that is not only out of touch with the public, but advancing policies that are downright destructive to the country, is taking it's toll on many democrats. They're either seeing the writing on the wall in the anger of the American people or, as appears to be the case with Bayh, can't stomach the lies and dishonesty any longer.

It's hard to believe that many of these people we call congressmen actually have a conscience. But apparently they do and they can only take so much before saying, "Enough is enough."

Hopefully we pick up a good guy in the senate. I wonder how the left thinks Obama is doing. Do they see him as clueless or is it the Repulicans holding back Obama from his great vision.
