    Default Springfield XDm 3.8" barrel!

All right folks! This is what I've been wanting ever since Springfield came out with the XDm. It's a version with a shorter, 3.8" barrel rather than the original 4.5". XDMs have the highest ammo capacity for the grip size than any other pistol (correct me if I am wrong please). The only way I can think of to improve it would be no grip and trigger safety and an added thumb safety (I think the grip and trigger safeties feel... distracting? strange I guess?)

    Here you go:

What is the allure of this set up? I've seen it on other guns where people mate compact slides to full size frames.

Graves asked us not to discuss that in his thread, so let's talk about it here.

IDK, the commander size 1911 seems to be a hit.

I wouldn't ever tell anyone not to do it, nor would I turn down a gun set up like that. It's really a non-issue, I just don't understand the initial desire. Maybe I'll understand after handling one or something. Are you still liking yours Graves?

That don't mean you can't make your own.

Oh, ok. Now I get what Stuart was saying (after reading the other thread).
