Why do you think a massive armed response was required? She did not barricade herself with anyone else nor is it reported that she threatened anyone else. Mental health issues for service members deserve more thoughtful discussion than your PMS PTSD crap.
Who knows what demons she was fighting.

Although I think that Duman's comments were made "tongue-in-cheek" I will have to agree with you. No one knows what she was up against and we should wait till the investigation is over, and the details revealed.

I don't need to wait for anything to be saddened by another vet taking their own life. RIP.

Thank you Top. I work in the Army medical system and see and deal with them every day. Also do a lot of work at the WTU and my current boss was the 1sgt there. Sad way to exorcize the demons she may have had.

    Well said.

We can spout off until we are blue in the face, about how selfish suicide is, but at the end of the day we don't know what was going on with her. How horrible were things for her, that she felt this was the best option. RIP and peace be with her friends and family.
