I'm looking exclusively at keymod rails for my next build. Lighter, multiple big name companies are supporting it and making products for it, and it's popularity is only growing. I'd rather attach a small rail segment exactly where I need one if I have an accessory that requires it over having the whole thing covered. No reason not to.
I think I'm going to go with BCM's.

Keymod setups are great, in my opinion...lighter, better grip, etc.

In all seriousness. I like the idea of smoother HGs. But then I've always been a fan of PRI's on my stuff. I liked the Apex HG's too. Keymods a good attempt to get a universal attachment method, but some of the other proprietary systems have been pretty good too. I guess its still one of those wait and see things.

@ ray1970. Belive it or not but I did not become aware of keymod until this summer. I dont think the word is out so the demand is low.

Keymod is the thing! I started selling them to few PD locally. They love the fact that they dont have to deal with quad rail on everything.

Not a fan of a quad rail weight or small pic rail pieces. Happy with my build but do need a new km light mount.

I have one and absolutely no clue about attachments etc. Picked a complete upper up in a deal, it was on there. Not that i'm in a rush to mount it, collecting dust with the other boat anchors, i'm looking at putting in my garage sale.

I like how narrow they can be where you don't have any attachments. I have a 13.5" keymod. Light and skinny. Easy to attach stuff where you want and clean and lean elsewhere. No regrets.
