Today's Pdog hunt.

Randy the way they were all just gone last weekend, my guess is the plague got them, it'll wipe them out quick.

Got the SxS running today and almost headed out there to do a test run, but didn't know if you guys were still there, was about 2pm by then.

Yeah, we were heading back by 3pm due to the incoming weather and the lack of fuzzies. We did stumble upon a couple new pdog spots that were alive and well, so hopefully things improve.

had a buddy over from GJ for a couple of days of shootin'. Since we couldn't hunt doves until Monday, we worked over the pd's pretty hard. Thankfully the weather co-operated so the mighty .17s got pretty good work outs. My .17 Rem. and Fireball in the pic.

Had a better day today. Took a Jack, a Cottontail, a ground squirrel and a handful of pdogs out to 200 yards. Most were taken with my newly customized Mossberg MMR Hunter.

Properly Broke in a new Savage Axis II .223 today with a Leupold VX-2 6-18x40 CDS zero'd at 200 yards with Hornady 55 gn V-Max at 3000 FPS. First kill was a fatty of a pdog at 150 yards. Next was a Jack I chased around until it finally stopped to rest at about 175 yards. As usual though, the .17 HMR T-bolt was the real star bagging (2) more jacks at 150 & 125 yards running away at full speed, as well as two cottontails and a tiny ass ground squirrel hiding in brush. Most shots were standing offhand except for the first Jack which fell via a kneeling offhand shot.
