I feel like I live in a bizarro world. All my friends are for this. "I want to know whats in my food!" "I dont see one reason why this is bad."

You realize this wont apply to restaurants and a lot of other places you eat? It doesn't apply to what you feed the animals? Etc.

"Well they can't make restaurant owners chase down all their suppliers and confirm they're non-GMO. That'd put all the little guys out of business."

So...you're against GMO's only when it's in the grocery store on certain selective products? Got it.

When you look at the organizations for this and against this, that should paint the picture.

Interesting they are against the measure, Alfalfa's Market[7], as Whole Wallet took alfa's over , closed them down or changed the name.

Labels are very often changed. It's not like they are individually hand painted on each container.

I'd kinda like to know what I'm consuming, but that's just me I guess.
    Find your own label.

I already know what is in my food...my fork.

If GMO is so great, why do they not want to publicize it?
Why don't they have stores with banners proclaiming "We only sell GMO food !"
Start a chain: "GMO Foods" and put them next door to "Whole Foods."

    I'm undecided, but skeptical.

I agree. The things I find skeptical are the selective approach to this and society's general lack of understanding of what it takes to feed this nation. This isn't a family of 4 we're talking about. Im sure we'd all love it if everything was natural but in todays "I want the most I can get, for the cheapest and I want it yesterday" world, it's impossible.

After you ask them if they know all the artificial flavorings in their StealBux coffee drink, then just tell them: If you truly want to know what's in your food, grow it yourself.

    Didn't mean "You" personally

Most of my food comes from our garden, or is shot on our land.
My wife does the grocery shopping, and much of it comes from Whole Foods or that other dirty hippy Trader Joe's. I know there is a lot of BS and extra expense there, but we can afford it, and I don't have to go grocery shopping.

I sometimes go for the fun of it though...

Remember you're dealing with a society that believes hunting is awful and not necessary. They also believe when asked where does the steak you get from the store come from? Say the back of the store. OR from that room where they're cutting my roast for me.

I'm a little slow when it comes to that but I finally figured it out.

NICE! I wish I had my own garden but I chose poorly living in a townhome.
