Para offered my son's batt a custom logo'd P14 at the end of his first deployment, he got one for right around $750.

Thanks for all the info. I hadn't even heard of anything like this until the one I just picked up was offered to me.

I also have a Para from my deployment to Afghanistan with 4-4. The safety on the Paras is complete garbage but other than that it is a great shooter.

We all got a sweet deal on Glocks of our choice with highly discounted engraving of whatever we wanted and $20 transfers to a local FFL after our last deployment.
    It's pretty common.

The finish on this pistol is very slick and it's difficult to get a good grip to rack the slide, the night sights are virtually expired, the finish on the safeties wore very quickly. I bought him a Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special when he was home on r&r during that deployment-it's his "everything" pistol-the Para is strictly a range gun.

I didn't buy mine to carry it but more for the trinket piece that it is. It will be something nice to give to my son.
