Alcohol doesn't work well. Lighter fluid works well. DO NOT USE WHITE GAS. I had a long post of this, but it may have been lost over the years.

They are and they are single use. If you made the stove with cotton it would also be single use.

Makes sense. You don't re-use candle wicks. Also good to know. Damn chipmunks keep tearing up my friggin insulation anyway, so there's plenty of scraps around.

That is really cool. Im gonna make a few and stash them away.

I was thinking putting a few in a ziplock in the BOB with a bottle of HEET. Would be good in a pinch if you need it.
