This I believe. Just got back from driving 36 through Boulder. Thought I'd never get out. Saw 2 near accidents of bike vs. car.

THIS! Of course the state made it some kind of stupid rule (at least in Evergreen), that if there is a fatal accident at an intersection (just ONE!), they put in a red arrow. Out of 8 lights, 3 have a red turn arrow after one hapless person was killed at each. It's only a matter of time, judging by how dumb people seem to be getting...
I'm with the OP. FUCK red turn arrows, fuck them in their stupid asses. That's why on my way home I always turn a 1/4 mi before my actual turn, just to avoid a red arrow.

So instead of combining all the traffic that actually can't proceed past a red light (straight and left turning), I always get stuck behind the 1 in 20 drivers actually trying to go straight, when I could have made a right on red 2 minutes before. It's been bugging me in my neighborhood for at least a year now, but I didn't think I could pull off a dedicated rant about it.

WINNING! Originally I'd rate your rant a 9.5/10, but for this, it's a straight 10!

This has earned you .5 points extra credit. Well done.

To the OP, if you can conjure up a good rant on the failure to use acceleration lanes...my enthusiasm might increase.

Oh man, this really grinds my gears! Especially those on ramps where you have a matter of feet before you exit again, or run out of lane.

UPS adopted a "no left turns" strategy some time ago. Saves time, saves fuel and it's safer.

So that's why Bailey Guns won't go to IKEA ... the left turn.

We might as well throw in people who stop in a continuous lane and people who try to drive around speed bumps (just for me). Then we'd just have the pet peeves thread though.

This is the opposite of the intersections that I described. Which one of us is correct?
