Shooting a group. This is for two reasons:
1) to document and record the sound that is heard at the target when shooting suppressed.
2) to document and record an actual shot group being fired.

ETA: since the blast from the gun is largely contained within the can (with some blown back into my face), its interesting to note that this setup works well if there's only one target, be it paper, 4-legged, or otherwise. I do not expect to be able to get a 2nd shot off quickly enough to engage another prairie dog, hog, speed-goat, or whatever. The first shot counts for a lot!

Wow, impressive shot groups. You were right about it being difficult to tell when you shot. Thank goodness for the dust splatter from the berm.

Good shooting!
Installing a safety, pistol grip, and complete buffer assembly onto a lower receiver.
remember, when dealing with the lower, don't strip out any of the screws and TEST FIT EVERYTHING!!!

Awesome
Great shooting, and thanks for sharing. I expected to see a $3000.00 rifle with another $3000 telescope on top.
Ammo + barrel + operator = .1 MOA with a paltry 5.56/.223

Here's the cost break down for that rifle:
$525 (+$200 tax stamp) Gemtech Trek
$380 Rainier Arms Ultramatch barrel (I don't remember paying over $300 for it)
$230 Carbon Feather handguard
$65 used upper I had
$240 LaRue SPR-S mount
$650 used Leupold MK-4 LR/T
$150 BCG
$280 Spikes pre-assembled lower
$160 Geissele G2S trigger
Thats just shy of $2700 WITH a can and optic/mount, just over $1200 for the gun itself.
thanks to MarkCO for helping with the upper and Hoser for helping with the trigger.
