Default Anyone have a Glock 20SF?

I am seriously considering getting one as my camping/hiking pistol, since it seems to be about the most powerful/lightest/flattest/most controllable package for the job. I have carried hot .357, but think the Glock will be easier to pack, and pack a decent punch. Who's got one, and what do you think of it's recoil, accuracy, etc?

If You can handle the recoil of a .357,, You can handle a 10 with no problem.. I have shot, shall we say, extreme loads out of both, and the 10 seems a little easier to get back on target quicker.. ymmv... As far as accuracy goes, the right loads and me doing my part,, I have hit clays at 100 yrds with mine..

I too own one........and as soon as I can dig through a rental storage and find my 550 that has all but disappeared since moving here, I'll load for it and fire it.

Finally got to the range. The recoil was somewhat disappointing after all the fanfare. The accuracy with 180's was very acceptable. Well pleased over all.

Sounds like a nice piece. I still haven't gotten one. I ended up with a G21SF, due to gun and ammo availability (such as it is). I really like it. Accuracy is very good, perceived recoil is so much less than my old Ed Brown--it makes accurate follow-up shots much faster. I was not really a Glock guy before, but now, I think I may end up with another one or two. I handled the new Gen 4 G22 a week or so ago, and was very impressed with the feel.

    Where have you gotten ammo?

Roll my own. Starline has brass right now, seems like $73 for 500 BIR.

I carry the Glock 20 SF when ever I'm on the trail - you never know.... Fits my hand, plenty of punch. Very pleased so far.

Recoil is talked up quite a bit here on the interweb, the hottest loads I've worked up feel exactly like my old G22 on the hot stuff.

Love my 20/21SF!! Recoil really isn't that bad, some intarweb types will make you think its like shooting a .44 Mag. Tough back country gun to beat IMO, good power and capacity in a decent sized and lightweight package.
