With all that being said, when in doubt, ask for their DD-214 (if feasible) to confirm anything if it is for a job or marrying your sister.

Ask him for his Ranger Class Number. He probably won't know it but if he does, you can look it up and find him. Again, it sounds like this is bs.

Okay so I met with them, he does not remember his Ranger class number LOL, I brought up the airborne school and as far as I know it is still at Fort Benning correct? He told me he did airborne at Fort Rucker, I told him that I did Air assault at Fort Campbell and he got defensive saying they do not do it there. My friend brought up the movie American sniper, and of course his friend chimed in saying he knew Chris Kyle personally. Sounds for this shit to me. I do not know how long ranger school is he said it was the hardest eight weeks of his life, I know it's longer than that. None of it makes sense I called him out and told him I don't believe it one bit. He is in a reserve unit and always has been, I didn't think Rangers were in the reserve unit. Nothing against the reserves but I just don't remember anything closely related to that

One of my friends is a reservist and is attached to one of the Army Special Forces groups. I'm pretty sure he actually works for the CIA, as his civilian job is with TSA, but he spends a LOT of time overseas competing as a member of the National Guard Biathlon team. Very mysterious, and never talks about his work. Posted up a few pics of his last deployment in Asscrackistan, had a beard.

If he doesn't remember his class number, then he didn't go to Ranger School. Everyone remembers when they left that place.

The other stuff could be legitimate. There was a time when Air Assault school was taught at Ft. Rucker. In fact, there are still MTTs (mobile training teams) that will teach AA at different installation. I earned my AA badge at Camp Gruber, OK, so it is possible.

As stated earlier, units get slots to Ranger School, so just because he is in the Reserves doesn't mean that is automatically a fraud. There are no Ranger units in the Guard or Reserve, only in the 75th. However, based on your comments I think he is full of shit.
