I have the Manix 2 in both G10 and blue. I carry the blue way more often because it is lighter.

I'll drive past Cabelas on the way home, see what they carry. If that doesn't work I may try Amazon Prime. Thanks for calling my attention to that. It's not the end of the world if it's a day late.

Spyderco made or did make some in Seki-City, Japan. I had been told these made in Seki-City were supposed to be very good knives. Is that correct?

I have some from japan, golden and there "byrd" line. All are very sharp. The byrd line is pretty good quality for the price.

Respectfully, I've handled and used a few Chinese Spydercos and they are not bad knives at all. Some of the other big brands that outsourced to China I cannot say the same for. The Japanese knives from Seki-City are far more collectable, but I really did not notice a huge difference in quality. Not like comparing a made in USA Schrade Sharpfinger to a made in China Schrade-Taylor LLC "Sharpfinger" that is so dull out of the box it won't cut cold butter and the steel is something like rebranded 420 that may not even be heat treated.
