Anderson Lower, Palmetto "premium" lpk, Magpul Moe furniture..... Not bad for a first time. A spring launched and I'll probably redo a roll pin.... Now to find an upper. Any recommendations for a basic "truck gun?" Should I piece it together so to speak? Budget is around $500
    Thanks!

Don't buy a "PTAC" upper, but any of their other ones should be fine. If you can afford a few extra dollars, their "Premium" uppers are really great for the money.

    Congrats on your first build!

That's more or less what I bought. I think I'm into my entire rifle for under $500.

Should get plenty of life from it. Looks good, welcome to the club. Once you finish it you will not be able to help yourself. You will start looking at parts for the next build, if you haven't already.

I figure I'm all in at 650 right now. Probably be at 750 once it's done. I'm sure I could've done it cheaper but I'm pretty pleased with the outcome so far.
I have two more lowers already.... That Adams Arms system looks decent, and well hell maybe a pink gun for the other half. Maybe.

Nice job. Ive been looking at those CHF uppers for a bit now. Just need to wait til tax season and hope they do another sale. AR's are like small block chevy's. Pretty soon you'll have enough spare parts to throw another rifle together.
