I almost went out last year - I WILL go out this year. Perhaps we can set up a CO-AR15 Rattlesnake Hunting Day somewhere?

Doesn't the season start somewhere around June 15?

GreenScout, I'd LOVE to take you up on that offer. I would use a firearm as a backup to using a snake stick and machete.

Ain't nothing like going to a rattlesnake roundup and looking at a pit full of snakes!

Only cool people get told about them. I turn around and tell you guys.

Going up to Pawnee Grasslands area tomorrow with my grandpa. Apparently there is at least one rattler up there right now. I'm bringing my shotgun with some 7 1/2 field loads in case I see him. Should I try and just get his head to save the body for anyone here who wants him? Or is one snake not enough to bother? I'm leaving tomorrow around 8:00am and live in Westminster if anyone near by wants me to bring the snake back for them. Should I bring a cooler or something?

And if we could only get Obama to show us how to cross the pit barefoot.![]()
